The Philadelphia Grays reigned over the New York Cobra in damp conditions.

Philadelphia Grays starter Larry Presley pitched a strong game against the New York Cobra at Cobra Stadium, leading the Grays to victory, 6-3. Presley, now 3-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs.

Philadelphia used a well-timed hit by Barry Rayburn to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Grays ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Rayburn.

The loss drops New York to 18-10.
