The Detroit Devils weathered a fine game by Chicago catcher Leon Morales to upend the Winds, 6-5, at Wrigley Field. Morales was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The victory makes Detroit 11-18.
Detroit used a clutch at-bat from T.J. Miller to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Devils ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Chicago manager Rocky Balboni.
