Getting an impressive start from Aaron Brown, New York beat Boston by the score of 3-0. The winning pitcher was Brown, now 1-0. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 2.
Ricardo Santana had a direct impact on the outcome. Santana contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put New York up, 1-0.
"Aaron gave us everything he had," said New York manager Michael Patterson.
The loss drops Boston to 1-3.
