The Baltimore Colts claimed a close win over the Phoenix Autobots, due in large part to Peter Johnson. The Baltimore right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. In 6.2 innings, Johnson surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Scott Klippenstein was credited with the save for Baltimore, his 2nd of the season.

Pedro Rodriguez, who finished 5th in the SC in wins above replacement with 6.6 in 2024, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rodriguez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Baltimore up, 2-1.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Colts manager Davey Rose, "I like our chances."

Phoenix is 19-12 after the loss.
