Baltimore Downs Phoenix, 6-4
|
The Baltimore Colts overcame a good performance by Phoenix left fielder Byron Jones to knock off Phoenix, 6-4, at Ballpark of Arizona. Jones was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Justin Evans closed the door for Baltimore, picking up his 3rd save of the year. Baltimore is now 18-15, while Phoenix is 19-13.
Baltimore used the hitting of Adam Parker to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Colts on top, 3-0. For the game, Parker had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Parker. "And not try to do too much."
