Chicago Winds starter Silveran Kanan Bonis hurled his team past the Springfield Isotopes, 7-2. Springfield is 18-15 after the loss.

Chicago center fielder Erik Valentin helped the Winds go up, 3-2, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Valentin hit a run-scoring single off Springfield pitcher Lloyd Dooley.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Valentin.
