The Charlotte Hawks reigned over the Louisville Sluggers in damp conditions.
In a tight contest between the Charlotte Hawks and the Louisville Sluggers, Malcolm Sherman was the determining factor. The Charlotte right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. Sherman yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-1.
