Mitchell Becker, who finished 2nd in the MC in wins with 17 last year, was locked in. The left-hander led the Toronto Seagulls to a 2-1 win against the New York Cobra at Toronto Fields. Toronto reliever Mitchell Becker got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Nobukazu Fujihara was tagged with the loss. The victory gives Toronto a record of 18-17.

Toronto left fielder Tim Hollingsworth contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 2-1.

"We've got to get out of this funk," said New York manager Chad White.
