Utes Get Extra-Inning, 3-2 Win
Utah got a strong outing from Cesar Gutierrez as the Utes defeated the Mars Eyebiters, 3-2, at Mars Field. Joel Fletcher picked up the save for Utah, his 1st of the year. The Utes improved their record to 17-21 with the win over Mars.

Maximo Martinez had a direct impact on the outcome. Martinez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Utah up, 3-2.

"That's baseball," said Mars manager Kurt Rush. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
