Cleveland Falters Again, Loses, 7-1, to Baltimore
Baltimore pitcher Rafael Moreno had a large part in his team subduing the Cleveland Spiders, 7-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Moreno, now 3-1, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The loss makes Cleveland 14-23.

Pedro Rodriguez had a big 2-run double for the Colts in the bottom of the third inning. With Baltimore leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a curveball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher David Lewis and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Colts ahead, 4-1.

Said losing manager Ramon Bernal: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
