The Philadelphia Grays picked up a win at Carpet Kingdom, knocking off the Orlando Rugrats, 5-1. On the mound for Philadelphia was right-hander Ben Anderson. He played a key role in the triumph. Philadelphia raised its record to 19-19 with the win.

Philadelphia took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when John Holland hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Grays in front, 2-1.

"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Philadelphia skipper Mark Roberts.
