Behind a solid performance from center fielder Peter Rabbitt, the Los Angeles Shockers defeated the Toronto Seagulls, 8-3. Rabbitt was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Shockers. With the win over Toronto, the Shockers improved to 20-17.

Larry Brooks had a big 2-run home run for the Shockers in the bottom of the first inning. With Los Angeles trailing 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a curveball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher John Morgan and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Shockers on top, 2-1.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Rabbitt, "one at-bat at a time."
