Isotopes Deal Denver 5-2 Defeat
The Springfield Isotopes topped the Denver Rabbits by a score of 5-2. Leading the way was shortstop Jose Soto. Soto went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk for the Isotopes. Marcelino Lopez recorded his 13th save for Springfield. The Isotopes improved their record to 21-17 with the win over Denver.

In the top of the 5th, Springfield took the lead on a 2-run single by Ty Hansen. At the time, the Isotopes were trailing 2-1, but Hansen's hit with two outs against Denver pitcher Steve Rice put them in front, 3-2.

Springfield manager Otto Tingley was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
