The Miami Stars topped the New York Knights, 2-1, in Superior Conference action at Ballpark of Miami. The game was highlighted by the performance of Miami pitcher Marlon Lewis. The Miami winning streak has reached 4 games.

The Stars got a big at-bat from right fielder Joe Hopper. For the game, Hopper was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Miami a 2-1 lead.
