The Orlando Rugrats got a sterling performance from left fielder Scotty Cannon, but the New York Knights still prevailed, 3-2. Cannon went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. New York reliever Don Kirkpatrick got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Brandon Manley was tagged with the loss. New York, with the win, is 4-1.

Michael Vaughn, who finished 4th in the SC in extra base hits with 71 in 2022, had a direct impact on the outcome. Vaughn contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put New York up, 3-0.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Orlando manager Carmelo Bramati. "The effort was great."
