New York Downed, 6-4, by Penguins
|
The Florida Penguins withstood a fine game by New York center fielder Anthony Wilcock at Penguin Park, to upend the Cobra, 6-4. Wilcock went 5-6 with a double, 4 singles, and a walk. New York is 3-1 after the defeat.
Florida got a game-changing hit from Conn Barbarian. The first baseman blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Barbarian.
