Colts 8-6 Winners Versus New York
|
Colts right fielder Bill Taylor left his imprint on his team's 8-6 win over the New York Cobra. Taylor was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Baltimore in the contest. Baltimore reliever Alan Kelly snagged the win, upping his record to 4-0. Tim Goff shouldered the loss. Sam Parillo nailed down his 10th save.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the bottom of the fifth, Taylor had a key at-bat for Baltimore. With the bases loaded, Taylor hit a 2-run single off Ivan Rodriguez, making the score 5-3, Colts.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Taylor.
The loss makes New York 23-19.
