Walt Carson, who is a two-time All-Star, was locked in. The right-hander led the Florida Penguins to a 5-1 win against the Miami Stars at Penguin Park. The loss makes Miami 23-19.

Conn Barbarian had a big 3-run home run for the Penguins in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Florida leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from former first round draft pick Manuel Sanchez and swatted a home run to left. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Penguins ahead, 4-0.

"We did a lot of things right," said Carson.
