The Orlando Rugrats beat the Philadelphia Grays, 7-5, at Ballpark of Philadelphia. The Rugrats got a fine performance from center fielder Stewart Matthews, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The winner was Orlando reliever Brian Valla, now 3-0. The loser was Wayne Thompson. The win puts Orlando at 22-22 this season.

In the top of the sixth, Orlando designated hitter Antonio Sepulveda gave his team the lead. With one out and the bases loaded, Maniac hit his 3rd home run of the year. Philadelphia pitcher Geoff White surrendered it. With that, the Rugrats jumped in front, 7-4.

Sepulveda told a Orlando Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
