The Toronto Seagulls defeated the Orlando Rugrats, 9-2, at Carpet Kingdom. Leading the charge for Toronto was third baseman Pat Hernandez. He was 2 for 5 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The triumph puts Toronto at 26-26 for the season.

Patrick McFarland had a big 2-run double for the Seagulls in the top of the fourth inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jesus Martinez and swatted a double to left. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Seagulls ahead, 3-0.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Hernandez.
