New York pitcher Tom Robinson did his part in helping his team defeat the Miami Stars, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Robinson yielded 2 runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-2. Luis Castrillon recorded the save, his 17th.

Jeff Peterson had a big 2-run home run for the Knights in the bottom of the sixth inning. With New York leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a cutter from Marlon Lewis, who finished 5th in the MC in ERA with 2.26 in 2022, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Knights on top, 5-2.

"Tom showed what he's made of," said New York manager Michael Patterson.

The Knights improved their record to 28-26 by beating Miami.
