Denver Rabbits starter Jeffrey Curry pitched a strong game against the St. Louis Robins at Robins Nest, leading the Rabbits to victory, 6-3. Steve Rice got credit for the save for Denver. It was his 1st of the year. Denver is now 27-26, St. Louis 29-25.
The Rabbits had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 6-3, Denver, with one out. St. Louis, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Vince Murphy dug in at the plate, but on a 1-1 fastball, he hit into a double play.
