A good performance from second baseman Jonathan Nicholson helped the Miami Stars defeat the New York Knights, 10-5. Nicholson was 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Stars. Tanzan Tsuji picked up the save for Miami, his 2nd of the year. With the win, Miami raised its record to 30-25.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Nicholson delivered big-time for Miami, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off James Walker. The game-changing hit put the Stars on top, 5-4.
