Las Vegas left fielder Johnny Woods was sensational. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Texas beat the Gamblers, 13-12. Picking up the save was 34-year old right-handed pitcher Lou Watson. Texas goes to 28-31, Las Vegas to 23-33.

Texas needed the clutch hitting of Sean Dean to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Gunfighters on top, 13-12. For the game, Dean had 1 home run and 3 singles in 7 at-bats.
