The Utah Utes topped the New York Knights, 8-3, in Superior Conference action at Popcorn Dome. The game was highlighted by the performance of Utah center fielder Conner Smallwood. After today's action, Utah sits at 30-29; New York slips to 28-30.

Smallwood contributed in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Utah get the win.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Smallwood, "one at-bat at a time."
