Riding the 2-hit performance of the 33-year old right fielder Josh Ballard, the St. Louis Robins defeated the Green Day Dukes, 3-1. With the win, St. Louis has a record of 30-27. Green Day falls to 27-29.
Ballard contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for St. Louis in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Ballard took a changeup from Kade Lewis and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Robins to leap in front, 2-1.
"Tough loss," said Green Day manager Jason Blaylock. "But we'll rebound from it."
