5-3 Loss Extends Mars Skid
|
Cleveland parlayed a decent outing from starter Jorge Solis into a solid win over the Mars Eyebiters. The final score was 5-3. Solis, the winner, moves to 4-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. The loss makes Mars 19-40.
Arturo Brito, the 6th overall pick in the 2024 draft, took Mars hurler Kris Smith deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Spiders on top, 2-0. In all, Brito had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
