Bandits Drop Shockers, 4-3

The Bay Area Bandits did just enough to sneak past the Los Angeles Shockers, 4-3, at Bandits Park. Bay Area pitcher Tomas Colon, in particular, had a standout performance. In 5.2 innings, Colon surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Chris Craig, credited with the save, is now 4 for 4 in save opportunities.
Cole Werner, who finished 4th in the MC in home runs with 43 last year, helped out the Bay Area cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Colon. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
The defeat makes Los Angeles 38-24.
