The skies opened up and the rain fell at Mile Long Stadium.

The St. Louis Robins beat the Denver Rabbits by a score of 9-4. St. Louis catcher Jake Walter deserved the lion's share of the credit. Walter was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Robins. St. Louis now sits at 33-31, while Denver falls to 35-28.

Walter got the Robins off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Walter.
