Red-Hot Miranda CAR Player of the Week

Carolina League pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop Manny Miranda, but to no avail.
His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .688 for the week to win the CAR Player of the Week Award. The Winston-Salem third baseman cracked 11 hits in 16 at-bats, 3 home runs, drove in 4 runs and scored 5 times.
This season, Miranda is batting .279 with 23 RBIs, 29 runs scored and 8 home runs.
