Hawks Blank Robins, Dixon Wins Wednesday, August 14th , 2024 The bats were ice cold today for the St. Louis Robins at Hawk Nest. Charlotte Hawks starter George Dixon kept the Robins cold all day, shutting them out in a 7-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 28-year-old hurler allowed 3 hits while striking out 8 and walking 1. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Dixon admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
