The Alaska Snow Sox picked up a win at The Igloo, topping the Detroit Devils, 2-1. On the mound for Alaska was right-hander Eliot Rippin. He played a principal role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Rippin surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Franklin Bentley got the save, his 15th in 18 chances.

Ingilab Huseinov had a big run-scoring double for the Snow Sox in the bottom of the second inning. With Alaska leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Julio Campos and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 30th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Snow Sox ahead, 2-0.

Huseinov called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

Alaska is last in the Major Conference Central Division with a record of 73-87.
