Springfield pitcher Justin Ferris did his part in helping his team defeat the Alaska Snow Sox, 4-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Reliever Tony Torres picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Bartolo Hernandez took the loss. With the win over Alaska, the Isotopes improved to 29-29.

Springfield took a 2-0 lead on Dani Medellin's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Medellin hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Alaska pitcher Bartolo Hernandez visibly frustrated.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Ferris told the Springfield Gazette.
